PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Napoli Afragola Av Station is 400 meters long and 44 meters wide, the station develops like a bridge over the tracks. With the external squares, the work occupies an area of 60,000 square meters, the equivalent of 6 football fields.

The station is designed by the Anglo-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid and is characterized by curvilinear forms that have influenced both the choice of materials and the construction methods.

NBI has designed and commissioned mechanical, electrical and supervision and remote control. Energy saving was one of the guiding criteria for the design and construction of station systems.

More than 2,000 lighting fixtures have been installed, 4,000 meters of shaped luminous pipes, more than 100 electrical panels, 25 kilometers of gangways and 200 kilometers of cables.

For the heating system, two solar roofs have been installed which produce approximately 200KW thermal; 170 motorized shutters guarantee around 100 m2 of natural ventilation. Over 21 kilometers of radiant floor pipes are also laid. Two tanks for the recovery of rainwater contribute to respect for the environment allowing the reuse of the same for watering green areas and for drains of the toilets.
